ChantDance is based on the techniques of yoga, dance, and kirtan/bhajan (chanting). It is designed to integrate the voice and body in order to uncover your True Self (soul, God-self). Sometimes hidden emotions, past traumas, and/or buried thoughts and ideas can get trapped in the body. ChantDance helps to unlock those blockages and hidden ideas to release mental, emotional and physical issues so that you can live your best life.
Many people have difficulty speaking or knowing their truth. Just asking for what they want can be a challenging issue. This reflects in the body with restricted movement, poor posture, pain, clumsiness, and sometimes negativity and depression. When we allow our body to move joyfully with unrestricted movements and begin to integrate sound, through chanting, singing and vocal inflections, the flow of positive energy increases and issues that were either troublesome or hidden, will come forth to be released.
